Why Do they All Look the Same!
A Photo of any Group of Left Wing Activists/Progressives—from Dublin to Vancouver to Cambridge—Reveals a Personal Terror of Facing their Own Individuality and it's Nothing New
When people lose control over their own destiny—or never had that control to begin with—I have noticed one of two things happen. They either rail against it, or they become an archetype of the personality the totalitarian regime requires to further its cause. The cultural aesthetic changes; however, the archetypes always remain.
Regardless of how personally destructive the regime is to them, they still end up—like Orwell’s Parsons in 1984—cowering and shaking next to Winston Smith. While still waiting to be dragged into Room 101. They will go to their deaths—and very often do if history is anything to go by—rather than pause and consider self-examination concerning any orders given to them by their ‘trusted sources’. From Mao’s Little Red Book to Fact Checkers, the source material is their only personal operating manual.
The lemming who runs to the edge of the cliff and only wants to point out—while demanding punishment for—the lemmings who turn away from the cliff edge. From the Khmer Rouge to the Chinese Cultural Revolution you have always found them nested within the compliant movements and wearing the same uniform. They want to be noticed as being good servants of their masters. They all look the same because they are all petrified of standing up for decency over dogma. This would require self-awareness over the operating system. They find such concepts impossible to even mull over for a nanosecond. Their great uncle Cormac—”who joined the priesthood and made his mammy proud”—confronted his own spasm of self-awareness with a Decade of the Rosary. Today his great-newphew Cairbre shouts out ‘Far Right!’ instead.
The uniform changes but the archetype remains the same.
So what you are beholding here is a uniform of compliance and a camouflage of cowardice. These days it is a ‘soy boy’ look, in 1930s Germany a Brownshirt, or Hitler Youth.
The good news is they always destroy themselves. Just wait…
Until you pointed it out I never really notice...now..Jesus...I can't unsee it...they are bloody everywhere
I have noticed this. Certainly in the 1980's young folk would be into a certain subculture i.e. New Romantic (the norm and most popular) goth/heavy metaller/rockabilly/mod/ska whatever. But there was so much individual identities around. A lot of it music based "looks". Today being into a political party is a "look". There's so many young people that blur the boundary of male and female, it's a fashion statement/look/mental state and personality type rolled into one being. And they all look the same. Dull imaginations. I've been looking at the Francis Ford Coppolla "Dracula" again; the cinema/ moving pictures is so artistic. Like black shadow silhouette moving to story (perfect for fairytales) the story weaving there is so fine, I had to watch it a couple of times. My children haven't seen that Dracula film, so they'll be in for a treat.🧚♂️🇮🇪☘️
