When Mark Fisher Met Russell Brand
How the world can change in such a short time
I recently stumbled upon this blog post I wrote over a decade ago. Mark Fisher—like so many Marxists—later killed himself. He was not a bad person, and some of his work in Hauntology and Psychogeography was brilliant outside politics. Still, his mental health problems and his Leftiest dogma went hand-in-hand as is usually the case.
In many ways, we can also see this as Civilisation Suicide in Europe. As more and more failed social theories become apparent in that Marxism simply does not work beyond that of theoretical models and contemplative insular philosophies. On the streets Marxism becomes a kind of social cancer. It eats away at people and cultures as much as it does to societies. I am—as yet—not convinced of the guilt of Russell Brand regarding the charges made against him. However, it is one more example of the Left eventually destroying itself in all the myrid of ways it can infect.
Russel Brand was a comedian = like a rockstar back in the '90s, & early 2000s. Yes, he liked the women, and they behaved as groupies do. But just like Trump and many other rockstars these women now decide they were assaulted and raped and come forward decades later looking for a big pay day and fame. Yet, there were no police reports, no charges at the time. Where are the statutes of limitations? Where is the accountability of the women who may have regretted their own choices? Funny how the "lawfare" always comes for those that are now on the "right side of politics" actually meaning populists. The left can not tolerate apostates and come for them hardest.
As a young man I played a lot of golf, frequenting the club after playing, mixing with a cacophony of individuals from postmen to members of boards.
