We Need to Talk About 'The Passion of the Christ' Movie
Some Demonic or Evil Force Was Central to this So-Called Religious Movie
The Passion of the Christ is a 2004 American epic biblical drama co-written and directed by Mel Gibson. It depicts the ‘Passion of Jesus’ largely according to the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. It also draws on visions attributed to Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich. Who was a mystic, Marian visionary and stigmatist. To cite a modern phraseology; there is also a lot ‘problematic’ with Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich. In 1923, German priest Winfried Hümpfner, who had compared Brentano's original notes on Emmerich, to the published books, wrote that Brentano had fabricated much of the material he had attributed to Emmerich. Others have wondered just what inspired her horrific visions of the Passion. If these were truly god sent, or like Sister Lucia of Fatima, who in later life came to believe that she had been tricked by the devil rather than beheld the Virgin Mary. This is a problem when citing ‘visionary’ sources and applying them. The issue of the specific origin of the visions. Hence why the Vatican investigate such visions with extreme caution.
The Passion of the Christ is also a movie which proves to be a deepely unsettling and disturbing experience for most viewers. Now I am not saying Mel Gibson and the production staff did anything wicked or wrong with the making of this movie. Their hearts and souls were in the right place as they attempted to pay tribute to the central aspect of their Christian faith. But something went wrong with the making of this frankly gruesome and disturbing movie which threw Mel Gibson headfirst into the demon world. Certain imagery—such as the scene above—opened a portal. Both the lead actor and a senior production member were both stuck by lighting during the filming of the crucifixion.
I have the greatest respect for Mel Gibson as an actor and filmmaker. However, the man is still human, and something happened to him during the making of The Passion of the Christ that had affected him in a dark spiritual way. His unfortunate personal problems following the making of this movie are well known.
I would go as far as to say that his other movie Signs was something of an exorcism for him as part of the overall experience. Signs is not about aliens. Signs is about demons. It is also one of the greatest movies ever made and its status as a masterpiece continues to grow with each passing year.
Think about it: Aliens can travel the universe but can’t get into a farmhouse basement. Those of you with an accute Fortean eye pay attention to the New Jersey dones of late.
Someone came across this video I had made a decade ago, which I think has become relevant once more. While it is important for Christians or anyone to pay tribute to their faith, when dealing with arcane and magical languages such as Aramaic—the language that gave us ABRACADABRA (‘I create what I speak’), after all—one needs to tread very carefully indeed. The occult and supernatural are very real. Ancient demons and forces can emerge from behind locked gates even with the best of intentions.
'The Passion of the Christ' is a truly dreadful movie.
Very well made because Mel Gibson is a talented film-maker, but the theme and the content are hideous. Perhaps that is what makes it uniquely horrible unlike, say, The Wild Bunch or Kill Bill where the gore is clearly cartoonish.
Is that image actually from the movie? I apologize if the question is stupid… I’ve never seen the flick…
