Two ladies in their early sixties who live in my village have developed rapid onset dementia, one is now in a wheelchair and the other (my friend's mum) in now incontinent, her husband can't cope so it looks like she will have to go into a care home. I tried to tell my friend and her dad back in the day about the arm spears but they wouldn't believe me. I also pleaded with my mum but she watched too much tell-a-vision so went with the narrative. Mum went from being a strong capable Scottish woman to just a shadow of her formal self, it affected her mobility and she also contracted dementia and ended up in hospital and then a care home for a couple of months before they put her on 'end of life' care. Before she went into hospital the council 'put out to tender' a care package for her at home, the company the contract was given to, shall we just say that they were not native to this country. Mum couldn't understand them, but then that is part of breaking down customs and community isn't it? It does get overwhelming sometimes Thomas but you have to keep going. Blessing to you x

Hi. I never wanted any flu shots my whole life remembering all the old people I heard as a child back in the late fifties saying "Don't get it." to each other many times. It seems even back then everyone their age who got one died.
